Magic in Dubai

Dubai è una città magica, piena di cose fantastiche da vedere, che vi stupiranno in quanto a fastosità ed eccessi. L'impronta è quella di una città occidentale in fortissima espansione, ma  le origini sono strettamente radicate alla tradizione araba, alla religione e ad un architettura dal fascino senza tempo. La città vecchia, Deira, vi introdurrà nel caos dei mercati di stoffe, oro e spezie, accompagnati dal navigare dei "Dhow" i classici velieri che dominano il fiume Creek  trasportando tutt'oggi merci da e in tutto il mondo.
Non c'è un modo per vivere Dubai: ce ne sono molteplici. I mezzi pubblici sono tutti funzionali e la modernissima metropolitana automatica, guidata da un computer collega bene ogni principale punto della città.
Mille cose da fare, mille posti da vedere. Estesissimi parchi, delfinari, zoo, centri commerciali dalle dimensioni improponibili (il Dubai Mall conta una superficie di circa 1 milione di metri quadri), spiagge, strutture sportive, qualunque cosa. L'unico consiglio, visto l'incredibile numero di taxi che circolano per le strade è quello di spostarsi quasi esclusivamente con essi: le distanze da percorrere sono abbastanza rilevanti, ma le tariffe sono molto convenienti, anzi, direi accessibili come i mezzi pubblici. Oltre alle attrazioni più famose, quali il Burj-Kalifa (che con i suoi 828 metri è attualmente il grattacielo più alto del mondo), il celebre albero a sette stelle a forma di vela Burj-Al-Arab, vi consiglio una visita nella zona The Palm, classificata come ottava meraviglia del mondo, un arcipelago artificiale a forma di palma, seguito poi da uno a forma di mondo e da una nuova palma ancora in cantiere, tutti costruiti nel bel mezzo dell'oceano Indiano costituiscono senz'altro una delle opere ingegneristiche più incredibili che l'uomo abbia mai realizzato. 

Dubai is a magical city, full of fantastic places to see, that will surprise you in terms of pompand excess. The impression is that of a western city that is rapidly growing, but the origins are closely rooted in the Arab tradition, religion and architecture from a timeless appeal.The Old Town, Deira, will introduce you to the chaos of the textiles markets, gold and spices "souk", accompanied by the surf of the "Dhow" classic sailing ships that dominate the Creek river still carrying goods to and from all over the world.
There are endless activities to do in Dubai. The public transport are all functional and themodern metro system, driven by a computer connects fine every major part of the city.
A thousand things to do, a thousand places to see. Most extensive parks, dolphinarium, zoo, shopping malls from preposterous sizes (the Dubai Mall has a surface area of about 1 million square meters), beaches, sports facilities, whatever. The only advice, given the incredible number of taxis that circulate on the streets is to move almost exclusively with them: the distances are quite relevant, but the rates are very affordable, I would say as anaccessible public transport. In addition to the most famous attractions, such as the Burj-Kalifa (which with its 828 meters is currently the tallest skyscraper in the world), the famous tree-shaped seven-star Burj sailing-Al-Arab, I recommend a visit in the area the Palm, ranked as the eighth wonder of the world, an artificial archipelago shaped like a palm tree, followed by one in the shape of the world and a new palm still under construction, all built in the middle of the Indian Ocean are undoubtedly one of the most incredible engineering works that man has ever made.
